Information Systems Project Management Information Book Report

This is related to the development of global teams. The indicators in these cases have been identified as technical difficulties, evolving solutions, innovation, and others. The challenges of large it projects are addressed by several types of management approaches, in accordance with the characteristics of each project. These approaches refer to rational planning, adaptiveness, and shaping. However, the managerial response to these challenges depends on the skills of the project manager and on the characteristics of the team (Miller & Lessard, 2000).

The proper handling of managerial challenges determined in the case of large it projects depends on several factors. One of the most important factors that influence these processes is represented by teamwork. The efficiency and productivity of team members ensures the successful development and implementation of these projects and their strategies.

In addition to this, the success of the project is also determined by the software planning tool used by the project team. The use of such software can help the management team identify the objectives of the project. In certain cases, the company and the project manager find it difficult to identify these objectives and use software planning tools. However, it is not recommended to rely only on these tools in establishing the project's objectives. When project managers are unable to identify these objectives, they should discuss the situation with the sponsors and with other stakeholders affected by the project.

These software planning tools are useful in estimating the necessary resources for the project. As mentioned above the incorrect estimation of required resources is able to determine significant problems. Such software planning tools have the ability to identify the areas that require these resources and to properly allocate them (Business Pro-Software, 2011).

In addition to this, software planning tools can be used in estimating the effects of the project....

Several variables can also be used by such software in order to determine their impact on the development and implementation of the project. Software planning tools are also used in ensuring the accuracy of the information required by the project management team. The instructions provided by these programs are considered helpful by project managers. They have been introduced in the planning of large projects, but are used in several activities regarding project development.
